Default A Poetry Collection

Im not really new to the poetry seen and ive been writing it for a little over 2 years. As my knowledge has grown so has the thought process behind each word. Most of these are based on my own verse in essence "free verse" poems. I currently have a collection numbering over 15 but I will showcase a few and collect your thoughts on it. So without further ado:

A Bleeding Heart?

Happiness is a serene state of mind
Sadness is never kind
But as your life begins to unwind
Joy you can never find.

Love is a state of being
Hate is a way of fleeing
But as your heart starts bleeding
Afeection is anything but pleeding

There is a thin line between happiness and love
Yet sadness and hate shot down your dove
But as your life continues and your heart weeps
The joy and affection is lost in the deeps

Looking on the inside.

Maybe I misconstrued the misconception
Perhaps everything is a clever deception
To deny this one little lie
Is like saying you're ready to die
But yet as life holds true
Your life and soul are bound by this glue

The life you once knew is no more
The curtains and sheets are now tore
You clearly see now
Is is your turn to bow.
The window awaits
Would you all look through to your fate's?

Time is but a door
Death is but a window
Can you break your way in?

Whose controlling you?

Understanding is comprehending
But thinking is not knowing
Can you understand a fact from an opinion
Can you tell the difference from a master and a minion?

We're all puppets on the same strings
All our lives are encircles by the same rings
But whose pulling your chain?
Whose waiting in the dark behind the rain?

Does your life flow like a river?
Or are you an arrow stuck in a quiver?
Has yourlife been good or bad?
Have you been happy or sad?

Are you satisfied with it in the end?
Are you wating for it to mend?
Are you convincing yourself or me?
Are you to be or not to be?

There is only one question I must ask
"Are you ready for this life to stop?"
This is your task
I'll be ready with the mop.

This last piece is for all those fighting and for all those who fought to keep our country out of harms way and to keep us free. I respect every single soul and I know that everyone must do their duty. This is a truly unbiased poem for all the soldiers present future and past. Let us NEVER forget what they have done are doing and will continue to do.

Tribute to the Lost

Althought the blade drips red
Is is enough to say they're dead?
What if instead
You were the one that bleed?

Imagine everything turning black
As you watched the man who didnt turn his back
The sand turns red as felt the final hack
Now your life is all you lack

As you used to watch you and your friends soar
Those helicopters opened many a door,
But yet no more
All you see is gore

The end is near
But you have nothing to fear
You should be proud
You are one of the only few that was loud

You went down fighting
Even when it was so frightening.
Now your gun is on the floor helmet on the rack,
As you went down fighting in Iraq. (Or any other place for that matter.)

Please enjoy submit your comments, and I'm welcome to any kind of criticism.

Sincerely and Signed,
